Business Continuity Management System Policy

The Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) is fully committed to ensuring the uninterrupted continuity of its vital operations, safeguarding the interests of its clients and strategic partners during emergencies, crises, and disasters.

To achieve this resilience, SCTDA has established a comprehensive Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) that adheres to the UAE National Standard for Business Continuity Management Systems, AE/SCNS/NCEMA 7000:2021. This initiative strengthens the UAE’s national resilience by developing a robust management system capable of effectively responding to and recovering from potential disruptions.

To ensure the effective implementation of this policy, SCTDA commits to:

  • Ensuring full compliance with the requirements of the national standard for Business Continuity Management System.
  • Establishing and maintaining an efficient management system that is tailored to the authority’s unique operational context.
  • Enhancing communication and coordination with all relevant stakeholders concerning the BCMS.
  • Regularly reviewing and improving BCMS procedures and objectives to ensure the sustainability and continuous improvement of critical services and operations.

This policy shall apply to the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority and all its affiliated entities in Sharjah.
